While the two products have the same base ingredient and work in the same way, Xeomin is a pure neuromodulator. It contains no accessory proteins around the particles of botulinum toxin. What Is the Xeomin Treatment Process?

After our discussion about treatment options, you can receive your Xeomin injections immediately. The injection portion of your appointment may take 15 minutes or less. We begin by cleansing the skin in the treatment area, then commence with inserting Xeomin into the target muscles. During the procedure, you may feel slight pinching sensations. These sensations are momentary. They may be mildly uncomfortable but are not painful.
Once the results of Xeomin develop, they typically last about three months. The frequency of subsequent treatments may vary from one person to another. You can schedule your treatments based on your goals and how you want to look. With these goals as your deciding factor, also know that you should not get Xeomin injections more frequently than every 90 days. This guideline is set to ensure patient safety and, based on studies, is sufficient for the retention of a more youthful appearance. That said, if you prefer a more relaxed approach to your anti-aging treatments, you can also postpone your Xeomin treatments to a schedule that better meets the demands of your busy life. Who Is the Ideal Candidate for Xeomin Treatment?

In some cases, patients may receive a recommendation for a different form of rejuvenation or a combination treatment that includes Xeomin and other injectables. Xeomin is safe for healthy adults. It should not be sought by women who are pregnant or breastfeeding and is not suitable for people with certain neuromuscular diseases, such as ALS.
Before receiving Xeomin, qualified patients should avoid blood thinners and alcohol. These products can increase the risk of swelling and bruising after treatment so should be avoided for one week prior to the scheduled procedure.
How Soon Will I See the Results of My Xeomin Treatment?
The results of Xeomin appear over three to five days after treatment. These can build gradually for up to 10 days and should result in a smooth, refreshed, natural appearance.
What Is the Recovery and Aftercare for Xeomin Treatments?
After your Xeomin appointment, you can resume most of your normal activities right away. The few limitations that we do suggest include avoiding rubbing or touching the treatment area for at least 12 hours, and avoiding lying down for four hours after getting injections. You should ideally postpone showering for 24 hours after treatment and may want to avoid excessive heat to prevent unnecessary swelling and redness. To reduce the risk of bruising from Xeomin injections, avoid the use of blood-thinning medications and supplements both before and after your treatment.
There are few side effects associated with Xeomin. You may experience dry mouth, slight pain at injection sites, neck pain, muscle weakness, and general malaise similar to having the flu. There is a risk of eyelid ptosis from neurotoxin treatments like Xeomin. We do our best to prevent this side effect using precise injection techniques.
