Determining UV damageÂ
During an evaluation with Dr. Martin Zaiac, patients of the Miami Beach and Hallandale Beach communities will be able to determine the severity of UV damage on their skin. Some of the signs include:Â
- Â Â Â Â Sun spots/age spots
- Â Â Â Â Fine lines and wrinkles
- Â Â Â Â Premature aging
- Â Â Â Â Skin color changes
- Â Â Â Â Freckling
Additionally, if there are any new skin growths, tags, or even changes in existing moles, patients should undergo a skin cancer screening and a possible biopsy to ensure skin cancer is not present. Skin cancer can be treated in the earliest stages in many cases, which is why early detection is critical to survival. We encourage patients to have skin cancer screenings every year with a qualified dermatologist.Â
